CNN's Ashleigh Banfield Asks If Jefferson Memorial Is Equal To Confederate Flag

"After the mass murder of nine black churchgoers by a white gunman in Charleston, South Carolina... CNN host Ashleigh Banfield asked co-host Don Lemon whether... we should also take down a memorial to former President Thomas Jefferson because of his slave ownership:
"Thomas Jefferson owned slaves -- third president of the United States. And there is a monument to him in the capital city of the United States. No one ever asks for that to come down. Is it equal [to the Confederate flag]?"
===> Make No Mistake, Friends...
CNN is an arm of the Time-Warner Mega-Media Corporation. They don't do anything that isn't scripted and hasn't been given the official stamp of approval from the very top. If you haven't noticed, CNN is the only network news being broadcast in every major airport in the United States (and, likely, most of the minor ones). And, this isn't just a remarkable nationwide coincidence. It's Planned. It's Policy. It's Propaganda.
CNN is a major - if not THE major - propaganda outlet for the U.S. Federal Government.

Propaganda is a tool.  And, propaganda is a weapon.  And, it's one weapon that our federal government doesn't hesitate to wield against it's own populace.  To wield against "We, The People...".
Why would CNN raise this flag? Why would they take this shot across the bough at Thomas Jefferson?
Yes, Jefferson - a wealthy, white, land-owner - owned slaves in his lifetime.
But, he also "thought that slavery was contrary to the laws of nature, which decreed that everyone had a right to personal liberty. These views were radical in a world where unfree labor was the norm." Jefferson included a passage attacking slavery in his draft of the Declaration of Independence (Read it here: http://www.blackpast.org/…/declaration-independence-and-deb…). It was removed at the behest of delegates from South Carolina and Georgia and those who represented northern merchants in the slave trade.
Richard Dolan inferred (and I concur) that the reason CNN took a swipe at Thomas Jefferson was because of his positions on personal liberty and on banking institutions. In an 1816 letter to John Taylor, Jefferson said:
"And I sincerely believe, with you, that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.".
1.) Individual/Personal Liberty/Freedom and
2.) Freedom From Being Indebted To Banking Institutions -For Perpetuity...
... are the two Jeffersonian ideals that Ashleigh Banfield - under orders from her bosses at CNN... who, in turn, were under orders from multi-national umbrella corporation Time-Warner - was attacking.

US Coalition Bills Iraq $260 Million For... Failure to Stop ISIS Advances

ISIL (ISIS) and Ebola have been running neck and neck in the race to be the mainstream media's Imminent-Danger Darlings ("This is CNN: Be Afraid. Be Very Afraid.").

I thought I'd dig up a truthful, timely and pertinent article on the fight against ISIL (ISIS).

When I heard that a U.S.-led coalition was going to be flying sorties/air strikes against ISIL, my first thought was, "Well, those a**holes are finally gonna get what they deserve.".

Sadly, not only has ISIL getting their just desserts not been the result of military activities but, apparently, the U.S.-led coalition is planning on billing Iraq hundreds of millions of dollars (that Iraq never agreed to pay in the first place) for... what exactly?

Cities are reported under siege.  Cities are allowed to fall (It's not a tactically significant target.").  But, significant for whom?  The people living somewhere ISIL is about to overrun?  The priceless archaeological treasures which are part of humanity's collective heritage and are being plundered?  I've heard war is good for the economy, but shouldn't it also be good for something other than making money?  If that's at all possible?

"The Iraqi people and their political leadership were optimistic when the United States first announced its intention to form an international military coalition to assist Iraq in its war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). At the time, everyone assumed that a solution was close and that Western jet fighters will wipe out ISIS. They all believed that the Obama administration will be Iraq’s savior from terrorism."

"Ever since the onset of the aerial campaign, coalition aircrafts have focused on the border region between Mosul under ISIS control and Iraq’s Kurdistan in the north, raising suspicions that the West is actually worried about its own interests and is not fighting terrorism, especially since some threatening rallies have emerged near Baghdad, but the West has so far refrained from targeting them."

Here's a direct link to an eye-opening article about the coalition's activities, the actual results of those activities and the cost (From globalresearch.ca):

Media Undercuts Obama Speech With Backwards Narrative

"Press On!"
President Obama was back in form as he gave an energetic & rousing speech to thundering applause at the Congressional Black Caucus in recent days.

Despite the actual Truth, the AP's report said that Obama had chided the CBC and told them to "Stop complaining."

Despite the actual Facts, the beltway media, fox news & CNN's Blitzer & even Yahoo! News all headlined with and trumpeted the same incorrect and utterly out-of-context few words they hand-picked out of his speech.

Congresswoman Barbara Lee knows better (We Love you, Barbara!).

Rachel Maddow knows better (Ditto).

In fact, we all know better!

What those in the smarmy beltway media, fox news, CNN's Mr. Blitzer and Yahoo(?) News don't seem to comprehend is that...
A.) We're a lot smarter than that.
And... B.) The speech was recorded and can be viewed at anytime (via the link below, for example).
(i.e.- It's not like we have to take their (utterly worthless) word for it).

It was an inspirational speech, friends. Just take a listen...

Daily Show With Jon Stewart: CNN & Fox News Coverage Of Prop. 8 Decision

For Your T.G.I.F. Enjoyment:

I present this brief, but laugh-out-loud funny, clip from The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.

In this clip, Jon takes aim at both the "man-on-the-street" and in-studio interview-style coverage of responses to this week's precedent-setting decision by a Republican-appointed Federal judge to overturn California's Prop. 8 - which banned same-sex marriage - as being unconstitutional, as presented by several major news networks.

Enjoy!
