The UK Government Was Given Evidence That Trump Was In Putin's Pocket. They Chose To Ignore That Evidence In Favor Of Pursuing Their Own Political Goals.

* IF you simply and objectively look at the accumulated evidence (even just the evidence that's been public-knowledge) Donald Trump's public statements, official decisions and actual actions all manage to serve Putin's and/or the Kremlin's interests:

1.) NATIONAL DESTABILIZATION/GLOBAL WEAKENING of these United States (Trump gleefully engages in throwing gasoline on- and/or fanning the flames of- division (racial, political, educational, economic, etc.) between Americans (textbook methods to "Divide and Conquer"); Trump's support of BREXIT; vocal and public support of RW/extremist/racist/xenophobic/repressive/anti-democratic politicians/governments in European countries and other ally nations.

2.) WEAKENING of the European Union (supporting BREXIT; supporting/promoting RW/extremist/racist/xenophobic/repressive/anti-democratic politicians/governments; threatening to pull out of NATO; pulling American security troops out/ opening the door for Turkish troops to pour into previously-peaceful, Kurdish rebel-held territories, facilitating the Turks' taking over and freeing ISIS terrorist prisoners, attacking/killing of our historic allies in the region - the Kurdish rebels - whom the Turks openly villainize and encourage violence towards; withdrawing American troops from Germany, etc.).

3.) WEAKENING of- and/or abolishment of NATO ("North Atlantic Treaty Organization") (by threatening to pull America completely out of NATO; pulling troops out of Germany - actions which actively-remove significant amounts of historically-successful deterrence - as well as layers of security - that have kept Putin and the Kremlin from carrying out it's historic and decades' long love of military aggression and geographic expansion; et. al.).

Regardless of whether Trump's gratuitous (Trump is a fanboy of- and is submissive to-  Vladimir Putin and a number of other violent, anti-Democratic, journalist-assassinating, whistle-blower-assassinating , authoritarian dictators; he took Putin's cat-that-ate-the-canary-smiling denial of Russian 2016 election interference over the entire U.S. Intelligence Community's evidence-based findings that Russia had definitely interfered in the 2016 election - in order to get Trump into the White House, where he could proceed to do/has actually done Putin's bidding), embarrassing (see: 2016 election interference, et. al.) and national security-damaging (see: revealing confidential, national-security information to Russians in the Oval Office (which endangered the lives of American and Israeli intelligence agents and assets), 2016 election interference, et. al.), servitude to Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin is voluntary (i.e. Trump's is neck-deep in numerous, documented, multi-million dollar, Putin- and Russian oligarch-related interests like his long-held desire to erect a "Trump Tower" in Moscow - a project which he denied and lied to Americans about prior to the 2016 election) or involuntary (extortion: video, audio, photographic)...

It's still... well... Treason.*

(*The "Cold War" with Russia continues, so, yes, it does meet the requirement for legal use of "treason".)

So, please, take a deep, cleansing breath - or several... wake-up, and smell the Reality.

Over the past three years, the Trump administration has drastically reduced a team working in China to identify global health threats like Covid-19, which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan late last year. The initiative’s 11 CDC staffers have been cut to three people, while 39 workers classed as “local employees” have been reduced to 11 people."

In 2018, Trump Disbanded the NSC Team Focused Solely on Global Health Security...

Back in May of 2018, the Trump Administration pushed out the White House official "responsible for leading the U.S. response in the event of a deadly pandemic...", Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer from the National Security Council.  Ziemer was not alone.  The global health security team overseen by him was also disbanded.

The Trump Administration called it a "reorganization".  But, none of these extremely important positions were ever re-staffed.

Around that time, "... Luciana Borio, director of medical and biodefense preparedness at the NSC (National Security Council), spoke at a symposium at Emory University to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1918 influenza pandemic. That event killed an estimated 50 million to 100 million people worldwide:

“The threat of pandemic flu is the number one health security concern,” she told the audience.  “Are we ready to respond?  I fear the answer is no.”"

Not surprisingly, Director Borio was correct.

Think of the federal government as an octopus.  It has numerous tentacles (agencies/departments).  Each tentacle functions independently of the others, but all of them are working for the common good.

By removing Adm. Ziemer and disbanding his team, the Trump administration completely and abruptly amputated the tentacle that that was in charge of monitoring, identifying, responding to, and preventing the outbreak of global pandemics.

This was a National Security level team.

Disbanding it was myopic, irresponsible, and put national security and public health under immediate threat.

The global COVID-19 pandemic sweeping across the world, spreading across the USA, and touching virtually every American's life are the fatal fruits of the Trump Administration's labors.

Epidemiologists and other medical experts saw this situation coming.  They warned the Trump administration, repeatedly.  Their words fell on deaf ears, repeatedly.

And, just like Nero in Rome, Trump fiddled while America burned.

Senator Kyl Nukes Obama's Push For US-Russia START Treaty

Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) just did his part to torpedo not only President Obama; but, also the President's efforts to "re-start" relations with Russia; whilst he simultaneously extended the ridiculous period during which America's National Security has been utterly left to chance.

How?

Well, instead of ratifying the new START Treaty (which returns American investigators to live/work 'on the ground' & observe/report on the numerous Russian nuclear sites), Senator Kyl (who only recently spoke on the urgency of the Treaty's renewal) now says that he and fellow GOP Senators will be serving the myopic goals of the GOP (trying to make Obama a one-term President), instead of serving the National Security of America.

Yep, the Senate's GOP members are just gonna twiddle their thumbs (just to thumb their noses at the President) until next year.

They're just going to keep on ignoring the screaming elephant in the room...

That postponing the vote on the Treaty (until its approval will be virtually impossible to get, at that) only does one thing: It only extends and increases the already serious risk that terrorists could acquire Russian-made nuclear materials.

Growing concerns about Sarah Palin's qualifications (or lack thereof) for possibly taking on the position of Vice President have inspired me to post several Blogs.

After reading that John McCain told ABC's Charlie Gibson that he considered Governor Palin's overseeing of the Alaska National Guard and Alaska's proximity to Russia to be 'credentials' for National Security experience...

Well, I didn't know whether to laugh or scream.

So, I did neither.

Instead, I went online and looked up:

Each candidate is provided with a chair, a desk and two Number 2 pencils.

To begin, each candidate is given a copy of a World Map with all countries outlined but unidentified.

Each candidate then has 30 minutes to correctly identify as many countries as possible with Extra Credit for correctly identifying their capitals and/or their current leaders/heads of state.

Now, That's What I Call A REALITY Show.

So, if someone drops a dime on you as a stupid joke or to be evil, and implicates you as a trouble-maker......the police can come busting in, day-or-night...

All night-vision, combat boots, kevlar, billy clubs, automatic weapons and trigger-fingers ( Heck, they're acting upon a tip that you are a "terrorist"!).... ala SWAT.....

And... They don't have to say, "This is the Police! We have a Warrant!"........

Now... They just come rushing in like....some........

Well, like Home-Invasion Robbers are known to do....

So.... You jump out of bed and run down the stairs to defend your loved ones, your home, your private property against the swarm of armed invaders and....... they, the armed-up-the-wazoo, home-invading police, thinking you, "the terrorist suspect", is charging them.... well, they just shoot you dead.

I can hear it now... "Oops! Sorry... We were acting on "intelligence" that turned out to be bad....

No, you can't sue us for wrongful death....it was a "National Security Issue", at the time.

It's isn't that far-fetched....

The Authorities in London are in Clean-up/Spin/Defense mode currently for a raid on a private citizen's home in Forest Gate. 250 armed officers converged upon the (Muslim) man's home, busted in without identifying themselves...he thinks he's being robbed...runs down the stairs to defend his family... and ... they shot him on sight...In His Own Home! Thankfully, he didn't die. The man and his brother were questioned...then released without charges....The police didn't even apologize until after the man indicated that he wasn't interested in seeking damages in court...but he wanted an apology... Like he should have to state that to get one?! Tony Blair, of course, is backing the police and the commissioner.

......I hear something ticking.....tick....tick....tick.... Hopefully it is the timer on America's patience/apathy...

The Real Domestic Surveillance Story is Not The Phone Call Logging.

The following came to me from writer Greg Palast.
Please take a look at it. He has researched Choicepoint, the Republican-run data mining company that brought us, among other things, the false list of 94,000 "felons" that were removed from the voter rolls in Florida, pretty much for "voting while black". Which insured King George's taking of the throne.

They now have billions in contracts with Homeland Security, the FBI, et al. to collect and sell information on you and I and everyone to those organizations (including our DNA!)who couldn't collect it themselves, that would be illegal. But thanks to the Patriot Act (Ugh!), they can buy it from other companies.

This is a major story! Please don't ignore it. That would only increase the damage they are able to do.

government to collect this stuff is against the law unless you're
suspected of a crime. (The law in question is the Constitution.) But
ChoicePoint can collect if for "commercial" purchases -- and under the Bush
Administration's suspect reading of the Patriot Act -- our domestic
spying apparatchiks can then BUY the info from ChoicePoint.

Who ARE these guys selling George Bush a piece of you?

ChoicePoint's board has more Republicans than a Palm Beach country
club. It was funded, and its board stocked, by such Republican sugar
daddies as billionaires Bernie Marcus and Ken Langone -- even after Langone
was charged by the Securities Exchange Commission with abuse of inside
information.

I first ran across these guys in 2000 in Florida when our Guardian/BBC
team discovered the list of 94,000 "felons" that Katherine Harris had
ordered removed from Florida's voter rolls before the election.
Virtually every voter purged was innocent of any crime except, in most cases,
Voting While Black. Who came up with this electoral hit list that gave
Bush the White House? ChoicePoint, Inc.

And worse, they KNEW the racially-tainted list of felons was bogus.
And when we caught them, they lied about it. While they've since
apologized to the NAACP, ChoicePoint's ethnic cleansing of voter rolls has
been amply assuaged by the man the company elected.

And now ChoicePoint and George Bush want your blood. Forget your phone
bill. ChoicePoint, a sickened executive of the company told us in
confidence, "hope[s] to build a database of DNA samples from every person
in the United States ...linked to all the other information held by CP
[ChoicePoint]" from medical to voting records.

And ChoicePoint lied about that too. The company publicly denied they
gave DNA to the Feds -- but then told our investigator, pretending to
seek work, that ChoicePoint was "the number one" provider of DNA info to
the FBI.

"And that scares the hell out of me," said the executive (who has since
left the company), because ChoicePoint gets it WRONG so often. We are
not contracting out our Homeland Security to James Bond here. It's
more like Austin Powers, Inc. Besides the 97% error rate in finding
Florida "felons," Illinois State Police fired the company after discovering
ChoicePoint had produced test "results" on rape case evidence ... that
didn't exist. And ChoicePoint just got hit with the largest fine in
Federal Trade Commission history for letting identity thieves purchase
145,000 credit card records.

But it won't stop, despite Republican senators shedding big crocodile
tears about "surveillance" of innocent Americans. That's because FEAR
is a lucrative business -- not just for ChoicePoint, but for firms such
as Syntech, Sybase and Lockheed-Martin -- each of which has provided
lucrative posts or profits to connected Republicans including former
Total Information Awareness chief John Poindexter (Syntech), Marvin Bush
(Sybase) and Lynn Cheney (Lockheed-Martin).

But how can they get Americans to give up our personal files, our phone
logs, our DNA and our rights? Easy. Fear sells better than sex -- and
they want you to be afraid. Back to today's New York Times, page 28:
"Wider Use of DNA Lists is Urged in Fighting Crime." And who is
providing the technology? It comes, says the Times, from the work done on
using DNA fragments to identity victims of the September 11 attack. And
who did that job (for $12 million, no bid)? ChoicePoint, Inc. Which
is NOT mentioned by the Times.

"Genetic surveillance would thus shift from the individual [the alleged
criminal] to the family," says the Times -- which will require, of
course, a national DNA database of NON-criminals.

It doesn't end there. Turn to the same newspaper, page 23, with a
story about a weird new law passed by the state of Georgia to fight illegal
immigration. Every single employer and government agency will be
required to match citizen or worker data against national databases to
affirm citizenship. It won't stop illegal border crossing, but hey,
someone's going to make big bucks on selling data. And guess what local boy
owns the data mine? ChoicePoint, Inc., of Alpharetta, Georgia.

The knuckleheads at the Times don't put the three stories together
because the real players aren't in the press releases their reporters
re-write.

But that's the Fear Industry for you. You aren't safer from terrorists
or criminals or "felon" voters. But the national wallet is several
billion dollars lighter and the Bill of Rights is a couple amendments
shorter.

And that's their program. They get the data mine -- and we get the
shaft.
