Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Team Passports Suddenly Not Sovereign Enough For Great Britain

Did You Know...

The sport of Lacrosse was invented by the Iroquois.

And, being as the Iroquois Confederacy is recognized as a sovereign nation, the Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Team has been traveling, internationally, to the World Lacrosse Championship on their own Iroquois Nation passports since @ 1990.

In spite of this glaring fact, Great(?) Britain recently made the boorish decision to neither honor the Iroquois' passports nor their sovereignty. They deemed them "too controversial".

Could the Brit's decision have anything to do with the fact that, at the 2006 World Lacrosse Championships in London, Ontario, the Iroquois Nationals defeated England 13-10?

Could they really be that petty?

The Final Decision: The Iroquois Nationals were denied entry into Great Britain to compete in the World Championships for a sport which their ancestors created.

That's decidedly petty.

That's the Bad News.

The Good News: Today, the U.S. Lacrosse team decidedly trounced the British team 17-5.

Nothing "controversial" about that...
