4.0 Earthquake In Youngstown; Official Cause: Natural Gas Fracking

Surely, you recall the recent flurry of earthquakes in Ohio?
Ohio, a state not known for having significant seismic activity and yet, within a series of smaller ones, it was shaken by one measuring around 4.0-4.3 recently?
A while back, when I recommended the film "Gasland" for it's subject - natural gas fracking poisoning well-water and causing faucets to behave like blow-torches - I hadn't thought to add "causing earthquakes", too...
Until, that is, they started cropping up.
And now?
Well, now it's Official: Gas Fracking = Earthquakes. (Hurray?)
(*Just ignore the little (Ohio Natural Resource Director) man who's still shouting: "The sky isn't falling on fracking! The sky isn't falling on fracking!". He's just visualizing lots of Big Gas Company $ disappearing much like the supporters of gas-fracking.)
Fracking: It's not just about flame-throwing faucets, anymore...
(As if anyone could possibly need more reason than that to bring it the whole "Boom-ing" business to a grinding halt, bringing in Independent scientists/environmentalists and oversight and... take things S-L-O-W-L-Y.)
Apparently, the movie "Gasland" hasn't had it's needed impact in the ol' U.K.... yet.
Nope. Fire from our faucets isn't a cause celebre over yonder... But, having two very similar small earthquakes occurring in two month in the vicinity of the gas drilling seems to have gotten their attention.
Umm, Hello?... Commons Energy Select Committee Members?
Do you all honestly believe that whole '"tight regulation and good industry practice" will ensure safety' line you're running with?
Uh, you can't be serious?!
Your committee is actually putting your faith, trust and - not just the health - but, the very lives of your friends, neighbors and loved ones to...
To what - Bottom Line - amounts to nothing more than the Corporate Honor System? "C'mon. You can Trust us. Just look at our Bottom Line."

I came across this Trailer for the HBO Documentary "Gasland" on YouTube.
As I understand it, this stunning Documentary is also available via On Demand.
Now, I don't have HBO nor On Demand (that I know of), but I am determined to find a means of seeing this documentary and I sincerely hope that you do as well.
I'd watched a terrific interview with director Josh Fox on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart before seeing the Trailer on YouTube.
When I glanced down into the Comments Section under the GASLAND Trailer, one of them caught my eye... and the attention of my insta-rage...
Some dork-among-us had whined on and on about Gasland's director, Josh Fox, being a "... an ultra left-wing, eco-extremist who wants to bring our reliance on fossil fuels to a complete halt and replace them with environmentally-sound, renewable energy sources." (or something to that effect).
Considering that such actions are not, in any way, a bad idea - particularly in the face of the continuing BP/DWH eco-pocalypse in the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding states ...
Here is my response to that dorky comment(er) and the GASLAND Trailer is below it.

"It doesn't matter where Gasland's Josh Fox is on some dumb scale of L-to-R. If companies like Halliburton are are offering large payouts to lease land w/out informing people that they'll leave a toxic wasteland with indoor plumbing that's highly-flammable behind and they're using methods of natural gas extraction which poison the air we breathe & our precious, finite, potable water sources... Then, not only must they be stopped, they must clean the messes they've left and pay for damages."
