One of the ideas that America was founded upon/was famous for was that we had a system of Checks and Balances. That system was created to insure that no government body acquired too much power.  Everyone had to answer to someone.

But, in recent years, something has gone horribly wrong with America.  And proof is found in what has happened to her founding ideas.

For Example: There are scant few government checks on what America’s sweeping surveillance programs are allowed to do.  And, there is nothing even remotely resembling balance.
